My elderly parents called Comfort Tech for regular furnace maintenance. The tech found a couple parts needing replacement and did so. Soon after, we noticed the furnace was having intermittent issues starting. Then it failed completely. Smelled gas every time it attempted to ignite. Fan would work, but no heat. Noticed a flashing red light which indicated a failure code.
Called Comfort Tech back and spoke to a very nice lady. I explained the situation and stressed that my parents are 83 and 89 and in poor health (especially mom who has raspatory issues) and I not only feared the gas issue, they need the heat working especially at their age. The lady put me on hold so she could try and find a tech to come same-day. And I was disappointed when she came back and said they'd try by end of day, if not, it would be next day. I again firmly stressed this was not acceptable considering the furnace was producing heat before they serviced it the week before. She was understanding and said they'd try.
I'm happy to report that my dad called me later in the afternoon to say they came, found the issue and fixed it indicating it was no charge as it was "they're fault". Not sure what that meant exactly. But it makes no difference. They pulled through for us. Took ownership of the problem. And did so in a very professional way. I always say that all businesses make mistakes at times. It's how they handle them that counts the most. Very impressed with Comfort Tech and how they handled this issue. We're very happy! Thank you!
